Brief Description
A two page letter dated 18 March, from Marjorie Boyle nee Dean, to the Hawke's Bay Museum, in which Marjorie recalls her memories of the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake. Marjorie's family had moved from Riverbend Road to Kowhai Road, Napier, and on 3 February 1931, was visiting a friend of her mother's in Selwyn Road.
In the letter Marjorie writes of living in a marquee at the bottom of Shakespeare Road; of being taken to Masterton; her sister being operated on at the tent hospital, and of working in Tin Town.
