Brief Description
Manuscript regarding transportation after the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake by E M Finlayson.
A recommendation from Captain E M Finlayson, the officer in charge of evacuations, that compensation be made to W Frame for repairs to his vehicle as he had worked continuously with his Chrysler car. Attached to the recommendation is a quote for repairs. An annotation by the plant overseer of the Public Works Department, possibly J V Taylor, recommends that the Relief Committee pay 20 percent of the cost of repairs.
The recommendation by E M Finlayson has a partial stamp and is dated 13 February 1930. It is written on a page numbered 12.
