Brief Description
Food requisitions from the Public Works Department used during the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake.
Four requisitions for food from the Public Works Department. Three are on printed Public Works Department forms PWS 1 numbered TM108, W68 and W69. One requisition is on lined page from a notepad. Each has a requisition identification number.
Requisition 183 is to D/C Food Distribution requesting the supply of food to W Weastill at Taradale, stating that the order will be called for. It is signed by W Weastill with a second signature by W M Mitchell. The requisition notes the word substation on the form. On the reverse side of the form there are annotations regarding supplies.
Requisition 297 is headed: Napier Substation, Public Works Dept, Redcliffe. Signed by W M Mitchell.
Requisition 118 is to D/C Food Distribution requesting food for twenty men working on the hydro-electric supply at the Taradale Substation. The requisition is signed by W Weastill and W M Mitchell.
Requisition 221 is to D/C Food Distribution requesting the supply of food to W Weastill at Taradale and states that the order will be called for and is to be charged.
