The map is titled:
Bousefield 1852 - copy of tracing. Tracing of map in possession of Mr J G Wilson, Hatuma.
And goes on to note:
The original Bousefield map by J Cook of Lands & Survey, Napier was destroyed in the 1931 earthquake. Mr Wilson had a tracing, and a copy was made. Mr Wilson's tracing was destroyed by fire and he had a print made of the Lands & Survey tracing. This tracing has been made from the print.
Shows the Ahuriri block, Mohaka block, Napier, Kaweka block, Harawira & Te Waka's land - 32, 000 acres and Wanganui - O - Rotu area.
