About this object
The photograph shows the front of Dr Moore's Hospital, also known as Upoko Poito, from Marine Parade, Napier after the devastating 3 February 1931 earthquake. The front has tilted inward causing the centre of the building to collapse. Large cracks have appeared in the concrete. There is a photographer standing behind the sea wall taking a image of the hospital.
