Brief Description
Architectural plan and permit, Amner Lime Company Limited, post 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake.
a) An architectural plan for alterations and additions to the offices of Amner Lime Company, Clive Square. The two top diagrams are of the front and side elevation and the scale is listed as one-eighth of an inch to one foot. The diagram at bottom left shows the floor plan. The diagram at bottom right shows the location of Amner's office with the streetline and verandahs. The scale is sixteen feet to one inch. A stamp at the bottom right corner indicates that the building plan was approved on 4 June 1931 and signed by the building inspector Mr Grant.
b) An application to the Napier Borough Council by C F Northe for a building permit. The application describes the block, class of building, material, owner of the property, builder, contract price or estimate cost and building fee and is dated 30 May 1931. The application form outlines the building regulation conditions for the permanent and temporary construction of buildings as authorised by P A De la Perrelle, the Minister of Internal Affairs. The application form is signed by C F Northe as contractor.
c) A handwritten document provides the specifications for alterations to the Amner Lime Company office at Clive Square including the walls, windows, verandah, storm water, framing, materials and paintwork.
d) The documents are in an A4 envelope with details of the plan and permit application.
