Brief Description
Topographical map of France during World War I dated November 1917.
Topographical grid map shows the area from Courcelles, Ecoust, Bourlon, Bapaume and Saillisel (noted to be in ruins). Shows contour lines and grid references, streets, main roads, towns and railway lines.
The large rectangles on the map are lettered A to X and subdivided into squares numbered 1 to 30 and are 1000 yards wide. A table for converting meters to feet and a glossary of terms is included.
Listed as sheet 57C. Scale is 1 to 40 000.
