Brief Description
Topographical map of France during World War I dated 1918.

Topographical grid map shows the area from Haspres, Verchain, Ruesnes, St Vaast, Romeries and Le Cateau. Noted is the axis organisation as at 26 September 1918 with railways, supply dumps and ammunition, hutments and aerodromes.

Also shown are practice trenches around the Malgarni and Montay area.
Around St Vaast can be seen the detraining point which has two lines leading to St Vaast from Haspres and Le Quesney, as well as a prisoner of war camp.

A line hand drawn in black from Amerval to Marou titled - Starting line 0320=Z + 80, a red line behind extending from Ovillers to Romeries titled - Depart 0420 = Z + 140 and a line from Neuville to Escarmain - titled - Depart 1212 = Z + 0612, noting the New Zealand Division. The area around Soulesmes is noted as being an assembly point for 2 New Zealand Brigade.
