About this object
The photograph shows the front and side of Dr Moore's Hospital, also known as Upoko Poito, on Marine Parade, Napier, after the devastating 3 February 1931 earthquake. Large cracks can be seen running through the concrete. The front of the building has tipped backwards causing the centre to collapse. The Hawke's Bay Club can be seen on the left hand side of the photograph.
