Brief Description
Architectural plan and permit, A A Hastings, post 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake.
a) An architectural plan for temporary premises at 34 Dickens Street, Napier for Mr A A Hastings. The plan also has a key showing the types of materials to be used and a diagram showing the trusses. The plan is stamped as having been approved on 13 May 1931. The application and permit number is 1164 and the plan number is E/31/120.
b) The application to the Napier Borough Council building inspector for a building permit is dated 11 May 1931 and lists the class of building as a dining room. It lists the address as 34 Dickens Street and the details of the contract price or estimate cost plus the building fee. The owner of the property is A A Hastings. It also states the conditions surrounding building regulations, permanent and temporary constructions. The application is signed C Schioler per A F Ford.
