Brief Description
Plan, proposed concrete highway at Farndon - Hastings.
Four sheets attached:
A) Sheet 1 shows the section of road from Watson's Road. Cross section plan included at bottom showing distances, gradients, banks and cuttings.
B) Sheet 2 details cross section of slab and shoulders on the bend near Friday Tomoana's gate - scale is 2 feet to the inch. Plan of concrete slab - scale is 4 feet to the inch. Also noted is the longitudinal section of concrete beam at beginning and end of slab.
C) Sheet 3 is a detail plan of extra width on the curve at the approach to the bridge on the Napier end - scale is 2 inches to the chain.
D) Sheet 4 is a detail plan of extra width on the curve at the bend near Friday Tomoana's Gate - scale is 2 inches to the chain. Also shown is the area from Hislop's Gate and wall onwards towards Napier.
