Brief Description
Plan, bridge over Ohiwia Stream at Ōmāhu. Hawke's Bay County Council.

Five sheets attached together:
A) Sheet 1
The plan of the proposed work on the bridge shows the present formation, the bridge and Ohiwia stream.
At the right of the plan are quantities of filling - 750 cubic yards and 780 cubic yards of cutting.
The plan is 40 feet to the inch, longitudinal section is 40 feet to the inch, cross section is 15 feet to the inch and locality plan is 80 chains to the inch It shows the area around Fernhill, on the Taihape Road.
B) Sheet 2
Ohiwia bridge site cross sections - scale is 15 feet to the inch.
C) Sheet 3
Detail plan of the bridge over the Ohiwia Stream, showing cross section of deck slab, longitudinal sections, stiffening plates at junctions of joists and the center of the bridge span.
Recorded on the plan is that the piles are to be reinforced with four one inch diameter mild steel rods, bound together with a bracing of No 8 gauge mild steel.
D) Sheet 4
A plan of the bridge site, showing an additional span to the concrete bridge over the Ohiwia stream.
E) Sheet 5
Plan of the concrete bridge over the Ohiwia stream at Ōmāhu.
A detailed plan showing the centre of the short span and section of pier A and B and stiffening plates at junctions of joists on pier B.
