About this object
The photograph shows the corner of Browning and Hastings streets, Napier after 3 February 1931 earthquake and subsequent fire. The destroyed Bank of New Zealand building can be seen on the corner. All that remains of it are the exterior walls. Surrounding the bank are the ruins of shops. The old Napier Post Office chimney can be seen on the right of the photograph.
