About this object
The photograph, taken from the back of the building, shows all that remains of Dr Moore's Hospital after the devastating 3 February 1931 earthquake. The building, which was located on Marine Parade and Browning Street, has collapsed inward. Part of the Athenaeum can be seen on the right hand side of the image.
