About this object
The photograph shows an aeroplane used to photograph the damage to the Hawke's Bay area from the air, after the 3 February 1931 earthquake. There are unidentified people standing in front of the plane.
The aircraft is a DH80A Puss Moth ZK-ABG, of Rotorua Airways Ltd, which operated from November 1930, and departed to the South Island in November 1934.
