Reports include injuries, religious services, business operations, bank notices, refugees, medical reports, supplies and a list of donations to the Relief Fund.

Napier reports a no work, no food principle is to be adopted and that registration cards are to be issued. Reports of a meeting held on February 12 request that Sir Apirana Ngata organises reconstruction work and use Māori unemployed where ever possible. Sir Apirana spoke enthusiastically about reports that the work done by Māori had set an example to everybody that will be be forgotten.

Further damage was reported by another shake at 1.30pm.
