Brief Description
Two notices sent to Alice Woodhouse from the Supreme Court of Napier for selection as a juror from Jury 2, Section 17, Juries Act 1908.

The sheet explains the legal duties, obligations and requirements. It is not for immediate serving on the jury, but rather to notify that the addressee is going on the jury roll for the next three years. The notice also states that women can be exempt if they notify the Jury Officer that they do not wish to serve. There is a list of other exemptions on the reverse.

a) A completely blank form with the perforated response sheet still attached at the bottom. The response sheet is for requisition exemption and gives space for the name and the reasons.

b) The top half of the form only, the answer sheet is missing. The top is addressed to Miss A Woodhouse and has the handwritten date July 1964. On the bottom is a pencilled in note that a reply was made for the recipient being over 65 years of age.
