Brief Description
William Colenso Estate, Series 2, Folder 2: I.O.U.s.
a) C/11/76: Envelope with the heading R L Colenso [Ridley Latimer Colenso], with a handwritten list of four I.O.U.s with amounts, dates and names; and three Promissory Notes with dates, amounts and names. The amounts range from £5-£230, the dates range from 18 March 1887 - 3 February 1902. The envelope contains the following documents:
b) A letter written by Annie Hunter to William Colenso, addressed and dated Dannevirke, 4 June 1898. The letter concerns a cheque for £230, and when payments and interest are due.
c) I.O.U. to William Colenso from Axel Mortensen for £25, addressed and dated Napier, 18 March 1887.
d) I.O.U. to William Colenso from W A Carmell, addressed and dated Napier, 3 May 1893.
e) I.O.U. to William Colenso from W I Spencer for £50, addressed and dated Napier, 16 January 1895.
f) I.O.U. to William Colenso from David Hastie, addressed and dated Napier for £10, 15 February 1895.
