Newspaper clippings from the Otago Daily Times, entitled: Sergeant Humphries, Distinguished Conduct Medal. New Zealander's Experiences in France, Life in the Trenches, A Valuable Record. The newspaper clippings are attached to scrapbook pages in three columns widths. It was originally a serial publication starting on Tuesday, 11 May 1915. These articles were taken from the diary of Sergeant Humphries which started on the date of his enlistment at Whitehall on 7 August 1914 and finished on December 31 that year.
