About this object
The photograph shows the Masonic Hotel located on Marine Parade, Napier. The hotel has been destroyed by the 3 February 1931 earthquake. Flames from the subsequent fire have engulfed the building. In the foreground are two men in white coats. They could be sailors from the HMS Veronica. To the extreme left is a man on a bike.
