Watercolour collage of ships from Richardson's Shipping Company surrounding a photo of Percy Hollis Kelly, the Managing Director. The photo is centred on a map of the North Island in a shield, with a lifebuoy and flag above, and the dates 1907 and 1914 in wreaths on either side. Richardson and Co. Ltd, Napier NZ is written on the lifebuoy. Signed C B Norton.
The ships, which are all named, are laid out in two circles. Clockwise from top left, the outer eight ships are: SS Kahu, Tu Atu, SS Kiritona, SS Weka, SS Koutunui, SS Ruru, SS Fanny, and Te Aroha. Clockwise from top left, the inner four ships are: SS Mako, SS Tangaroa, SS Ripple and SS Squall.
