About this object
The photograph shows the Napier Municipal Theatre located on Tennyson Street. The theatre has been destroyed by the 3 February 1931 earthquake and subsequent fire. Only the exterior walls remain. The façade has fallen onto the road. The road has been cleared to allow vehicle access.
