About this object
The photograph shows Tennyson Street, Napier, after the 3 February 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake and subsequent fire. The Napier Central Fire Station has been badly damaged and the building on the right has been completely demolished. The road has been cleared of debris to allow vehicle and public access.
