About this object
The photograph, taken from Tiffen Park, shows the Napier business district. Most of the buildings have been destroyed in the 3 February 1931 earthquake and subsequent fire. The streets have been cleared of debris. Tennyson Street is visible in the foreground. The Public Trust office is on the right of the photograph.
