About this object
The photograph shows Napier from Tiffen Park. Many of the buildings have been destroyed in the 3 February 1931 earthquake and subsequent fire. The streets have been cleared of debris. Tennyson Street is visible in the foreground. The Norfolk pines planted along Marine Parade can be seen against the sea line with Cape Kidnappers in the far distance.
