Brief Description
Notes written by Aileen Andersen (often misspelt Anderson) in July 1961 about her time at the Home Science School between 1913 and 1920.

The author writes on the following topics: how the different degrees worked; how the campus was set up; student interactions; Studhome, the student housing; losing records and contact with many people because of the 1931 earthquake; the courses and the names of the people who taught them; mischief caused at night in the washhouse; and student-run bake stalls on Saturdays during the war years. She also explains why the school was good using the example of Dorothea Tucker and Gladys Cameron and explains how students and professors helped each other out in various situations.

The author lists approximately 90 students by name and by year: 1911, 1912, 1913 - 1914, 1915 - 1918 and 1920. Staff between 1911 and 1918 are also listed, only 2 were permanent staff: Professor Boyes-Smith and Miss G H Rawson (who became Professor Benson after marrying).

She notes on the back of the last page that this was sent to Dunedin, but that the remainder was never returned.
