Brief Description
The plan of the training works for Hawke's Bay rivers was proposed by George Nelson in 1921. The plan shows rivers, embankments, willow training works, drainage sluices, roads, towns around the Tutaekuri River and Ngaruroro River, the confluence of the Tutaekuri River, Roys Hill, Meeanee and Napier. The Ohiwa Stream is near Lake Runanga and the Tukituki River mouth is located at Clive Grange near a dam.
