Brief Description
The map of the Tutaekuri reclamation from Taradale to Westshore shows streets, riverways, land lots, swamp, bush around Meeanee, Awatoto, the Napier Borough, Greenmeadows and the Ahuriri Lagoon. The overflow of the Waitangi Stream can be seen merging with the Tutaekuri River. Glasgow Wharf is drawn in pencil and the bridge from Napier to Westshore can be seen merging with Meeanee Quay, as is the bridge from Ahuriri to the Western Spit.
There are notations at the bottom of the map which record: the area west of the channel is 2,742 acres, east of channel is 6,910 acres, the area of channel is 127 acres and north of the channel is 780 acres. The total is 10,559 acres.
