Brief Description
The map of the Ahuriri Lagoon and Awatoto was drawn circa 1875. The map depicts streets, swampy areas, grass and bushes, Raupo bush, salt weed and bush around Marine Parade, Hastings Street, Munroe Street, Raffles Street, Faulknor Street, Ahuriri Lagoon, Goa Bay and Pukeroa block and south of Scinde Island at Awatoto, which is near J Beatson's land.
The Union Rowing Club and the Napier Rowing Club sheds are located on Faulknor Street. A E Hayes has property adjoining the road from Taradale.
