Brief Description
The map shows Napier district developments as proposed by George Nelson in 1922. Depicted on the map is the area around Ahuriri Lagoon, Napier business area, Carrsweir, Meeanee, Taradale and the Ngaruroro River. Awamauku and Moananui are near the Inner Harbour at Ahuriri.
The Tutaekuri and Ngaruroro confluence has a sluice fronting the showground reserve. The two rivers meet and flow into the Ngakuri River, with the river mouth at Taumatua.
