Brief Description
a) Scrapbook containing newspaper cuttings and letters. The scrapbook is principally concerned with the Port of Napier and the history of Napier, covering the period 15 August 1949 to December 1972. Other topics covered include the sinking of the Wahine in Wellington Harbour in 1968 and the development of Hawke's Bay Airport.

A note concerning Abraham Lincoln and the banking system is handwritten inside the front cover.

b) Booklet entitled: New Zealand Stamp Collector. Volume 53, Number 2, June 1973. Official journal of the Royal Philatelic Society of New Zealand and the Federation of New Zealand Philatelic Societies. The journal contains articles concerning the postal service and stamp collecting.
