Brief Description
Handwritten receipts issued for clothing and shoes requisitioned to refugees, associated with the relief effort following the Hawke's Bay Earthquake, 1931.

a) Receipts issued by the Hastings Street School Food Supply Depot, also known as Triangle Camp. Information handwritten on the receipts includes: The name of the person the clothing was requisitioned to, address, the quantity, description, price and total price of goods, the persons signature, and the account the clothes were charged to. Some receipts are dated between 14 February and19 February 1931. Approximately 62 receipts.

b) Receipts issued by the Nelson Park School Food Supply Depot. Information handwritten on the receipts includes: The name of the person the clothing was requisitioned to, address, the quantity, description, price and total price of goods, the persons signature, and the account the clothes were charged to. One receipt is dated 17 February 1931. Approximately 15 receipts.

c) Receipts issued by Siberia Camp. Information handwritten on the receipts includes: The name of the person the clothing was requisitioned to, address, the quantity, description, price and total price of goods, the persons signature, and the account the clothes were charged to. One receipt is dated 17 February 1931. Approximately 11 receipts.

d) Receipts issued by Puketapu Relief Committee. Information handwritten on the receipts includes: The name of the person the clothing was requisitioned to, address, the quantity, description, price and total price of goods, the persons signature, and the account the clothes were charged to. The receipts are undated. Approximately 2 receipts.

e) Receipts issued by Westshore Relief. Information handwritten on the receipts includes: The name of the person the clothing was requisitioned to, address, the quantity, description, price and total price of goods, the persons signature, and the account the clothes were charged to. One receipt is dated 19 February 1931. Approximately 8 receipts.

f) Receipts issued by Food Relief. Information handwritten on the receipts includes: The name of the person the clothing was requisitioned to, address, the quantity, description, price and total price of goods, the persons signature, and the account the clothes were charged to. One receipt is dated 19 February 1931. The departments are variously labelled: Food Supply; Food Control; Napier Food Control Committee; Food Distribution; Citizens Control; Relief Committee; Central Food Supply; Food Relief; Carlyle Street Depot Food; Clive Square Food Depot, and Napier Food Control. Approximately 31 receipts.

g) Receipts issued by the P and T Catering Department. Information handwritten on the receipts includes: The name of the person the clothing was requisitioned to, address, the quantity, description, price and total price of goods, the persons signature, and the account the clothes were charged to. One receipt is dated 19 February 1931. Approximately 39 receipts. The department is variously labelled: P and T Catering Depot; P and T Department; P and T Catering Department; P and T Depot; P and T.
