About this object
Watercolour painting of a farm beside the mouth of a river (untitled but probably Carlton Downs Station, Mohaka). On the far side of the river, which runs diagonally across the painting, are five houses or buildings, fences and trees. A ship is moored at a wharf in the river. On the left of the river mouth is a cliff, and on the right is a sand spit. In the background is the ocean.
