Recorded in the album is the description: Ancient art and modern beauty. This fine specimen of the handicraft of the ancient Māori is to be found at the Spa Hotel, Taupo and is splendid example of the intricacies of the skilful art. Note the the beautiful inlaid paua shells among the woodwork.
