[Abridged on card] Gertrude Hermes was commissioned by the Victoria and Albert Museum to do prints representing the seasons. This was her rendering of Winter... So far only 4 copies have been printed - No. 1 went to the Victoria and Albert Museum, no. 2 to the British Museum Print room, no.3 to the Bodleian Library at Oxford, and no. 4 is here in Napier.
