Brief Description
Assorted documents, books, badges, letters and ephemera that belonged to the Glazebrook Family.

c) Two partial pages with a poem about the ship Montmorency being destroyed by fire in Hawke’s Bay. Written in 1867 by H Cass to Thomas Glazebrook. Only part of the poem as the pages have been severely damaged. Includes the full poem typed out.

d) A Napier City 75 Jubilee Celebration invitation to Mrs L E Hatton for the official opening of the Proclamation of Napier as a city on 18 March 1950. Includes a letter to Mrs L E Hatton about the celebrations of the proclamation of Napier as a city from the Napier Borough Council with a ribbon which reads: Napier City and 75 Jubilees Celebrations, 1950.

e) The Longfellow Birthday Book. Inside the birthday book are two newspaper clippings related to the deaths of Eileen Russell's parents, Lucy and William Hatton. There is also a Glazebrook genealogy, that starts with the marriage of Henry Glazebrook and Elizabeth McDonald in 1850 and includes all their children and their dates of birth.

f) Envelope with Clive School Diamond Jubilee, 1879 to1939. Addressed to Mrs Lucy Hatton. Inside is a Clive School Diamond Jubilee badge with an attached ribbon that reads: Ex-Pupil.

g) Prayer book that the register says was brought to New Zealand with the Glazebrook family aboard the Montmorency.

h) Book entitled: Hymns, Ancient and Modern for the use in the services of the Church. Belonged to Roas Williams.
