Cheques issued by The National Bank of the Orange Free State Limited as well as a manuscript.
a) Six complete cheques and two cheques stubs issued by The National Bank of the Orange Free State Limited. All the cheques have been cancelled. They all note to whom they should be paid (all to different people or organisations), and the amount in pounds and schillings. They are dated between 1889 and 1899. The group is held together with a metal bracket.
b) A fragment of paper that reads: These cancelled cheques were brought back from the Boer War and given to me by Farrier F J Bradley. Dated 1900 and signed by A E Eagleton.
