Brief Description
Journal written by John Mackersey from Kenilworth Station, Victoria from 10 March 1867 to 30 January 1871 and from Lake Station, Wanstead District, Hawke's Bay from 20 February 1872 to 6 April 1875.

Entries record the weather conditions and daily activities on and off the sheep stations. On page 210 of the journal, the author records his journey and arrival in New Zealand.

Attached to the inside of the front cover are two pages of handwritten notes on John Mackersey's journals.

Large hardback book with green linen cover and leather spine and corners. A handwritten white label is attached to the centre front. The entries are handwritten in black ink on pale blue paper.
