Map of Antarctica. Ross Dependencies.
Scale: 1: 7,500,000.

Shows boundaries of dependencies, glaciers, heights, isobaths, ice barriers and soundings in metres from Victoria Land - discovered by Ross, 1841, Princess Astrid Land - Halvorsen, 1931, Queen Maud, which was under the Norwegian Sovereignty from January 14, 1939, Coats Land - Bruce 1904, James W Ellsworth Land - Lincoln Ellsworth, 1935 and Graham Land.

The first trans Antarctic flight of 1935 by Mr Ellsworth is shown from the Bay of Whales at King Edward VII Land, going to Joinville Island in Graham Land. The Ross dependency extends from Young Island, Albert mountains, Cape Douglas to King Edward VII Land - discovered by Ross.

The Falklands Islands are approximately 1,200 kilometres from South Shetland Island at Graham Land. Amundsen glacier is noted nestled in the Queen Maud Range at the Ross dependency. An inset map of the Antarctic continent is shown in relation to principal land masses.
