Shows boundaries of dependency, boundary of sub divisions, heights, glaciers, isobaths and soundings around Princess Ragnhild land - discovered by Riiser Larson - 1931, Kemp land - discovered by Kemp - 1833 - recharted by B A & New Zealand expedition 1930, Kaiser Wilhelm II land - Drygalski - 1902, Bowman Island, Sabrina Coast - Balleny - 1839, D'Urville Sea and King George V land - AAE 1912.
Included are positions assigned to the South magnetic polar area - Shackleton , 1909 - 72º 25'S and 155º 16'E.
Noted:
The magnetic polar area appears to be moving in a North Westerly direction at a speed of 4 miles per annum. The distance from D'Urville sea to Esperance - Australia is approximately 1,250 km.
