Shows soundings in fathoms, tracks, rivers, bush areas from Wairakei, Tapuaeharuru Bay, Kohaitako, Roto Ngaio, Motuopa - 1,632 feet high, Te Hautu at the bottom of the lake, Tokaanu, Waihi Stream, Kakaramea - 4,259 feet high, Te Ngarara, Karangahape - 2,379 feet, Waikino stream to the West side of the lake and Waihora Stream, Te Kanae, Kawakawa Bay, Whangamata Bay and Whakaipo to the North.
Lake Taupo is noted as 1,211 feet above sea level. Soundings in fathoms show the deepest part of the lake to be 89 fathoms - 540 feet.
An old Pā is noted at Waihi, near steam holes at the bottom of the lake. Roto Puha is near the Hinemaiai stream where a Pai Mārire settlement is noted on other maps. Crow's Nest and Patuiwi are noted North of Taupo, bordering the Waikato River near Huka falls.
