One of two key/indexes to the watercolour titled: Treaty at Pā Whakairo 20 July 1863. This index lists several of the people shown in the painting: 1) Donald McLean, 2) Chief Porokuru, 3) Te Hāpuku, 4) Tārehā Te Moananui, 5) Chief Whare. The index also indicates: 6) flour mill, 7) posts cut with resemblance to heads (tupuna), 8) pots containing preserved birds for the guests, 9) lady visitors, 10) Māori women, 11) a hut (whare), 12) effigy of a chief with tewhatewha. In total, there are 60 figures.
