The chart shows soundings around Northland concentrated on the East Coast and showing the physical features of the region. Inset maps include Parenga-Renga Harbour and the Ohora River. It also contains notes on tides.
Chart first surveyed by Captain J Stokes from 1849 to 1855 and drawn by Edward J Powell. Published by the Hydrographic Office of the Admiralty on 2 November 1857. Corrections made on variation in 1894.
