Topographical map by L Cussen and H M Skeet of the interior of Auckland and Taranaki Provinces, dated August 1885.
The map shows land from Waimarino and Lake Taupo in the east to Alexandra in the north and Mount Messenger in the southwest. Woodland along with rivers, heights of peaks, Māori settlements and provincial boundaries are shown.
The legend includes references to agricultural, pastoral and broken land but these are not filled in.
Scale is 4 miles to 30mm.
