Souvenir booklet of photographs of the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake published by H J Lovell-Smith.
Eight black and white photographs of Hastings before and after the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake in a souvenir folder intended for postage. The folder states that there are twelve photographs but only eight are contained in the folder. The folder number is 145.
Each photograph has a description of the scene at the bottom of the photograph.
Scenes include: Cosy Theatre before the earthquake, Cosy Theatre after the earthquake, Heretaunga Street looking east showing the Grand Hotel before the earthquake, Heretaunga Street showing the Grand Hotel after the earthquake and before the fire, Heretaunga Street looking east after the earthquake, Heretaunga Street looking west after the earthquake, Queen Street after the earthquake and Havelock North bridge after the earthquake.
