Map of the settlement of New Plymouth, circa 1926.

The map shows the settlement of New Plymouth divided into sections that were purchased by Donald McLean under instruction from the Government in 1847. The map gives section boundaries, section numbers, and names of owners.

Map contains the names of Henry King, Police Magistrate, Donald McLean, Protector of Aborigines and J T Wicksteed, New Zealand Company Resident Agent for New Plymouth. F Carrington noted as Government Surveyor and Edwin Harris as a surveyor. Note signed from L E G to R D D McLean with compliments on 26 February 1926. Original deed of sale was signed in 1844 by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand.
