Brief Description
An order of service for the sixtieth anniversary commemorative service of the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake held at the Veronica Sunbay on Marine Parade, Napier on Sunday 3 February 1991.
Official participants include the Napier Civic Choir, City Church Choirs, the Reverend Colin English, Captain M Matthews R N, the Napier Technical Band, a representative of the Hawke's Bay Anglican Māori Mission, Staff Nurse Beth Olsen, Mr E R Spriggs, Mr David J Sewell, Mr Alan J Dick and Monsignor Tim Hannigan.
The service included a prayer of thanksgiving, readings and hymns, a presentation of the coat of arms of HMS Veronica, and an unveiling of a plaque commemorating the 60th anniversary of the earthquake and the rebuilding of the Veronica Sunbay.
