About this object
Black and white woodcut print of Lot leaving Sodom. The illustration originates from the Nuremberg Chronicle first published back in the late 1400s. Alongside the book, larger prints of the illustrations found in the Chronicle were sold separately. This may be one of the larger prints. Hartmann Schedel wrote the Chronicle and the illustrations may be the work of Michael Wolgemut, who provided over 1800 woodcut illustrations for the Chronicle.
