Booklet of St Paul's Presbyterian Church Napier, New Zealand, 1859-1929 celebrating the 70th birthday of St Paul's Congregation. Foreword written by J A Asher, St Paul's Manse, Napier, May 6th, 1929.
The booklet provides a brief history on the church and the Ministers who served the Congregation. It mourns the loss of the church, which was destroyed by fire on April 5th, 1929 and looks forward to the rebuilding of a new St Paul's. [The new brick building was subsequently destroyed in the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931].
It includes images of: St Paul's Church, 1861; Reverend Dr. Bruce; Reverend Peter Barclay; Reverend George Morice; Reverend Dr. Sidey; Reverend J G Paterson and Reverend J A Asher BA.
