Built 1887 by H S Edwards & Sons, Tyneside for Napier partnership. To replace Tuna that was lost on delivery voyage. Shareholders changed over the period until it was transferred to Richardsons 1999 1886 stranded at Gisborne. 1897 machinery failure caused return to Wellington. 1902 stranded at Port Ahuriri after stripping propeller. Feb 1902 struck by SS Omapere. 1909 fitted with new funnel. 1919 sprung a leak off Chatham Islands. 1920 sold to Peter Munro; resold later that year to Sanfords Ltd Auckland. 1921 lost propeller Bay of Plenty. 1925 collided with scow Huanui, Auckland. 1925 partly stripped and use as hulk. 1931 stranded on the Westshore Slip, Port Ahuriri as a result of the Napier Earthquake. 1933 broken up at Auckland
